Hunting for a fun place to take the kids this Halloween? Simply visit the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens! Spooktacular runs this October 25 – 31 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. The Jacksonville Zoo will transform into an eerie wonderland filled with enough spooks, ghosts and goblins to delight everyone. Spooktacular has been a Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens tradition for a number of years, but it just keeps improving!
This current year, Spooktacular will feature an enchanted forest, bounce houses, a pirate’s cove, and many more fun events and areas for you and your child to enjoy. The Zoo grounds will be decorated with a huge selection of Jack-o-lanterns along with a DJ, who will offer kid friendly Halloween music which means your little goblins can dance the night away. For adolescent kids, (10 or older,) Scare Zones will be located throughout the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens including The Green House of the Living Dead and the Forest of no Return. Let’s keep in mind the animals! During Spooktacular, many animals will still be awake for viewing including, alligators, jaguars and everyone’s favorite, giraffes. Candy stations will be placed throughout the Jacksonville Zoo grounds, which will certainly please kids and parents alike. This current year, Spooktacular tickets are simply $8 for members and $10 for non-members but for those who check out the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens website and get your tickets online, the price will be reduced by $1 ticket. So this year, take the kids th the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens for safe Halloween fun!
